Big Babysitter

Our mares are such babies - they can't go anywhere without their "man." Even though Cassie is the dominant horse, she and Cricket don't feel secure unless they are around our cool gelding Lightning.

Flying High

Here's Andy doing a great job keeping his kite in the air on this wonderfully breezy and lazy Sunday afternoon. Our day was made complete with a hamburger cookout and a family horseback ride with Andy doubled up with me on Cassie.

On the Trail

Andy was brave enough to sit on Lightning (such a small boy on a such big horse!) with Ellen on Cricket.

Cooling Down

Temps are really dropping during the night. The goats' water bowl was frozen over the other morning. We pulled out Lightning's blanket to keep him cozy. We'll have to do the same for the other two soon.
