Nellie, now 4.5 lbs and growing quickly, inspects an interesting object. She is very playful and curious, loves to leap around recklessly and climb on things. Did I mention she likes to climb on things?

We hope to take Nellie and mom back at their permanent home soon. Our little toy will play in her own pen and experience the new sights and sounds of the outside world.

Christmas Bundle

No, this isn't a stuffed toy. Nellie is the latest addition to our pygmy goat family! She was born on Wednesday, Dec. 14th we think sometime during the late afternoon. She is about 7 inches high, weighs just about nothing and is the cutest thing in the world!

This morning it was -13 degrees without the wind chill! Cricket anxiously awaits her hay as we make our rounds.

Rocky Mountain High

What a beautiful view of Pikes Peak on this frigid morning! The 4WD can barely get us through the deep slick powder that the storm brought.

The Watering Hole

With temps in single digits (0 degrees this morning!), the tank quickly freezes over. The animals are parched when we get there in the morning to break the ice. Here, all gathered to drink their fill, even Daisy who sometimes thinks she a horse.

Lightning enjoys a much needed drink while Cassie looks on. She does like to stick her nose into everything, literally.
