Road to Grey's Peak

This is the trail that leads to Grey's Peak, one of the many 14,000-ft peaks in Colorado. The continental divide is in the background.

A View to Remember

This is one of sprawling valleys we pass through on our way up.

Rest Stop

Some hikers take a break to enjoy the scenery.

A Wild Sight

We pass several mountain goats along the way. This one allows me to get within 20 feet to take this picture.

At Home

Amazingly tame, the goat contentedly grazes on wild grasses and weeds while I look on.

A Foursome

Here we are towards the beginning of our hike up the mountain. It's been easy so far! This is my first journey up a "14er."

New Friends

My hiking team includes: Cathie, Susan and Michele.

Onward Ho

Blue skies and warm weather greet us as we begin the journey to the top. Later in the morning, passing cloud cover give us relief from the intense sun.

Aping Around

Today we had a fun time at the zoo. This big male gave us onlookers a good show, chasing the younger ones around.
