Good Job

Scott is just touching up Raymond, who is almost done. This camelid will be a happy camper after having several pounds of wool taken off.

Looky Here!!

It's amazing how small the alpacas are under their thick and bulky winter coats - they're beanpoles!

Shearing Time

We finally get the nerve to shear the alpacas. With the help of Scott's friend, Kevin, the job gets under way.

The Last

This was probably young Noche's first time being sheared, but he did great considering all the commotion and noise in the barn. This process was a good learning experience and will help us in future shearings.

Before . . .

. . . and after

Andy describes Raymond's new look as "a head on a stick."
