At last the cows are released into their new--and hopefully secured--pasture.

Fence Duty

We picked up 1,300 feet of field fence and ran a line of T-posts. We'll see if that will contain the cows.

Jail Time

The cows have proven themselves to be expert escape artists. They've been climbing through the electric fence and barbed wire to get to a herd on our neighbor's property. For now, we've locked them in the round pen.

Moo!

Scott picked up a couple of heifers from the Calhan cattle auction. Hopefully they'll put some weight on and we can enjoy a big BBQ cookout! Hey, for 40 cents/pound, what did you expect?
